Biography
Bwalya is a 3rd-year undergraduate student of
Global Health and Social Medicine. She is the student representative for her
course cohort. She is responsible for communications between students and
senior leadership teams within the department.
Her passion for advocacy extends beyond her blog into her
professional career. Bwalya completed an internship at Edumove, where she
engaged in a campaign to integrate education with movement to curb
health-related issues on the rise in children in the UK.
Bwalya is currently a Youth Advocate within a newly
established organisation responsible for publishing the “Help Us Move On”
report. She is working to have the recommendations within the report
implemented within the Hampshire area, with focus on housing, employment and
youth voice.
Bwalya is also co-developing an open-access research methods
blog in association with the Centre for Society and Mental Health.
